Back on Your Bike is a series of rides for people who are returning to cycling. The pace is gentle and we keep to quieter routes in and around Taunton. You should be able to ride 2 miles to participate. To join this group please contact  jonathan.cyclesomerset@mail.tidyhq.com 1st ride is free. Then £10 membership due. Voluntary donation £2 towards promoting cycling. Please bring drink water, small snack and spare inner tube.  Waterproof is advisable. Warm layers and gloves if weather is cold. Bridgewater YMCA  via the Somerset levels and 13 bends. Back through North Petherton and Creech Heathfield. About 33 miles and a bit of off piste along the canal. A few hills but nothing too daunting  Meet 9.30 at the Brewhouse.   IMPORTANT TO REGISTER   Leader: Hazel

Now try again - dangers of using a copy and of posting rides when tired! Meet at Viridor Car Park in Priory Bridge Road Maximum number of riders is 12 so sign up asap.   A scenic ride up onto Exmoor with excellent views over the Devon countryside - it is around 30 miles long and with some hills.   Meet at 0830 at Viridor Car Park to load the trailer.  We will drive to South Molton and park in the main car park.   There will be a coffee stop before we leave South Molton, and drinks will be available at the lunch stop but no food so please: bring your own picnic for lunch.   Returning to South Molton and driving back to Taunton by about 1700.    ** Can those signing up indicate whether they need a trailer space or could take their car?  Closing date of 6th September. **   Please email your trailer space etc. info. here LINK Please email any queries about the ride here LINK

Midweek Ride to The Dennis Pottery, Shepton Beauchamp.

This ride will be around 35 – 40 miles mainly undulating without too many steep hills. We plan to arrive at The Dennis Pottery and Glassworks at around 12.30 for lunch at their wonderful tearoom serving homemade cakes and freshly prepared meals using local produce. The return ride to Taunton will include a stop at the North Curry community café for those needing extra sustenance before riding those last few miles home.
