For my ladies ride on May 11th I will do a ride to strand cafe at culmstock Its a very hilly 30 miles Please note meet and start time 0915 at bishop hull church    Please register so that Debbie knows numbers   Leader: Debbie

Wivey Wander: This will be a thirty five miler, out through Kingston, round the lanes of Lydeard, Combe Florey and the back way to Wivey for coffee in the square (could decide when we meet which cafe). On return we will head for Milverton, through Nynehead, Bradford and home. All the usual bits and pieces required to make this a smooth ride. Some of our illustrious colleagues are cycling abroad, so we are likely to be fewer in number! 

Back on Your Bike is a series of rides for people who are returning to cycling. The pace is gentle and we keep to quieter routes in and around Taunton.  (You should be able to ride at least 5 miles to participate. If you would like to join this group for the first time please contact  jonathan.cyclesomerset@mail.tidyhq.com) Please bring drink water, small snack and spare inner tube.  Waterproof is advisable. Warm layers and gloves if weather is cold. A leisurely circular ride of 16 miles starting 9.30 at the Brewhouse to Bishops Lydiard and coffee at Daisy's.   Please sign up for the ride so that Sue can warn Daisy's.   Leader: Sue Brooks

Fyne Court Canter: This is a 30 miler out through West Monkton, Thurloxton, up the back way to Fyne Court for a coffee. On the return we drop down to Lower Aisholt, pass beside Hawkridge, Spaxton, Durleigh on to North Petherton and then home. The weather promises to be cloudy, but warm and dry. All the usual bits and pieces required for a smooth ride...tubes and gas and Dilys' new pump might be good!

SORRY CANCELLED.....  due to high winds (55mph gusts) and generally pretty poor weather !   Leisurely / slow paced ride out to the Riverside Cafe ( now called the Kitchen) at Langport - a there and back ride of about 30 flatish miles. Leaders: Joanne & Sue B

The council have decided the main north-south cycle route of Taunton should be along Gipsy Lane -unfortunately this does not connect to anywhere. We need a large number of cyclist to meet at 09.30 under the tree on the right (junction Greenway Rd and Gipsy Lane) for a photo. Further photos will then be taken along the desired cycle route of the Taunton Area Cycle Campaign (from sorting office - Leslie Avenue -  cycle path- Clifford Avenue).  The destination of ride(s) will be decided at 10.00 on the green in Leslie Avenue. There could be a shorter and longer ride if enough turn up.  PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE TO OTHER ROAD USERS BY NOT BLOCKING PAVEMENTS OR ROADS

Many of us have not been here for a while, we are always made welcome with good home cooking and some excellent Frittatas. 32-35 miles with the usual ups and downs. Appropriate clothing and spare inner tube, please. Weatherman says "Light rain showers and a moderate breeze" temperatures between 10 and 13 deg. I'd like to share this with you all, some really interesting facts about the many benefits of cycling from the Dutch Cycling Embassy. Kelways for Koffee: This is a 35 mile ride out through North Curry, Stoke St Gregory and the usual route beside the river to Langport and coffee at Kelways. On return we'll head for Muchelney, Drayton, Hambridge, Isle Brewers, Isle Abbotts, Curry Mallett, Hatch Beauchamp and home. The weather forecast, though not hugely promising, suggests we'll stay dry until later in the day! Tube, Drink, Snack and Waterproof might prove useful.
