10:00 – 15:00
This will be a shorter leisurely ride of around 16 miles to the Willowbrook Garden Centre Cafe near Wellington. It will be rather warm (23degreesC.) according to the Met. Office, so we will follow a route which doesn't have too many challenging hills and plenty of time to enjoy a cream tea in the sunshine. The route out will be Bishops Hull, Allerford, Hillfarrance, Tone Green, East Nynehead and Ham. Returning, our route will be via West Buckland, Cutsey, Daw's Green, Dipford and Trull arriving in Taunton early afternoon. Remember to bring a spare tube, a snack, water and "sun block" Meet at the Brewhouse for a prompt 10am start. Ride Leader:- Ian.

Monthly meeting discussing insurance for cyclists.
20:00 – 21:00
On the first Wednesday of each month Cycle Somerset has an evening meeting to discuss rides/ socials/ topical issues. We have met in a village pub but would like to try a more central venue. We had a successful day time meeting at Hub Box (opposite Debenhams) which 18 people attended and would like to see if this is a more convenient venue for members. (The meeting will be upstairs) Following the incident of a cyclist being fined for hitting a pedestrian crossing a green light the topical issue of the meeting will be insurance for cyclists; should we encourage (perhaps strongly) whether Cycle Somerset members should have Cycling UK (or British Cycling) membership which provides insurance? Please come and share your views. It would be helpful if you register for the event so we know numbers attending - thank you
