Exclusive Ride to white post cafe
Vivary Park BandStand.
09:30 – 14:00
This is going to be an amazing ride with lots of sunshine and the temperature rising to at least 20C it will have a couple of little hills and is likely to be about 35 miles, all with a tail wind to help us along.
It is only going to have a very exclusive few attending (all of which are the real deal Cycle Somerset members ) which is primarily what will make it such an enjoyable event.
As the white post cafe is now under new management, and as I have not yet been there (since the change of ownership) I thought it a good oppourtunity to try it out this Saturday, possibly for Brunch :-)
We will only be stopping for coffee and cake so should be back home in time for a late lunch.
Looking forward to seeing you all and having a jolly enjoyable morning.
Meet - Vivary Park Bandstand 09:30

We may do a shorter ride to The Iron Duke, Wellington if the weather is iffy.

Hestercombe Hop: This is a 20 mile round trip, a little hilly on the way out but all manageable. Heading out through Lyngford, Cheddon Fitzpaine, Thurloxton, the back way up to the Quantocks and a drop down to Hestercombe for a coffee. On return we head for Kingston, Fitzroy, Norton, Hillfarrance, to Bishop's Hull and home. This is a slightly shorter, circular ride given the promise of rain! Waterproofs, tubes etc recommended.

Pitney Pootle: This is a 35 mile round trip, out via Creech St Michael, 13 Bends, North Curry, Stoke St Gregory and along the lower route through to Langport followed by a slight wiggle up to Pitney for coffee at the farm shop. On the way back we return via Wearne, Aller, Othery, Burrowbridge and, eventually, back down 13 Bends and home. The weather is not hugely promising so weatherproofs in order...or we'll cut it a little shorter and make coffee our priority!
