Hestercombe Hop: This is a 20 mile round trip, a little hilly on the way out but all manageable. Heading out through Lyngford, Cheddon Fitzpaine, Thurloxton, the back way up to the Quantocks and a drop down to Hestercombe for a coffee. On return we head for Kingston, Fitzroy, Norton, Hillfarrance, to Bishop's Hull and home. This is a slightly shorter, circular ride given the promise of rain! Waterproofs, tubes etc recommended. Easy going ride with some hills out through Oake, Nynehead and Langford Budville. Returning via Rockwell Green, Angersleigh and Trull. About 27 miles. Thursday weather forecast is looking reasonable but expect a shower or two and wet roads. Come prepared. Ride Leader: Pete W

Pitney Pootle: This is a 35 mile round trip, out via Creech St Michael, 13 Bends, North Curry, Stoke St Gregory and along the lower route through to Langport followed by a slight wiggle up to Pitney for coffee at the farm shop. On the way back we return via Wearne, Aller, Othery, Burrowbridge and, eventually, back down 13 Bends and home. The weather is not hugely promising so weatherproofs in order...or we'll cut it a little shorter and make coffee our priority! Ride Leader: Paul "Noah" Harper 

With a song in her heart Barbara will lead us to Fyne Court. Fingers crossed for good weather but come prepared for this autumn ride. Bring along the usual inner tube, water and a snack if needed. Give a thought to the proposal for a ride out from Cossington on Tuesday 22nd Oct. We would all need to get our bikes over there for 10:00 a.m.(leaving Taunton around 9:00 a..m) and return around 2:00 p.m. We can discuss this over coffee on Tuesday. Any problems and you can contact me through the email link in my name below. A hilly ride around the Quantocks.  In the region of 35 miles with a stop for coffee and cake plus the oppourtunity to view some art - it is Somerset Arts Week after all.    Note:- we meet at Bishops Hull Church car park for a 9am start.      Ride Leader: Rachel

On the first Wednesday of each month Cycle Somerset has an evening meeting to discuss rides/ socials/ topical issues. We previously met in a village pub but are now meeting at a more central venue. The meeting will be upstairs at The HUBBOX (opposite Debenhams). Unlike September meeting there is no birthday party booked! Topics include: TOPICS Preparing agenda items for AGM (to be held at Albemarle Centre 6 November 7-9pm) How should rides be advertised? Possible venues for monthly meetings  Rides during winter months Please come and share your views. It would be helpful if you register for the event so we know numbers attending - thank you  

Hoping that the weather is better than last week, the ride is heading for Daisy's Tea Room in Bishops Lydeard and back via Ash Priors, Bradford on Tone and Bishop's Hull.
