C.O.A.C.H. Christmas Lunch
Bridgwater & Taunton College
12:30 – 14:30
I went along to the Quantock Restaurant at the college today and the only Tuesday they could do a lunch for a large group (hopefully The Weir group will join us) is 3rd December. It would be best to try and book this date sooner rather than later as they are filling up. If you could sign up (ASAP) in the usual way as for rides I will get an idea of numbers and I think it is probably easier to reduced our numbers later than ask to increase if people change their mind. Four choices for starters, mains and desserts. The usual Christmas fare plus vegetarian options. 1 course £9, 2 courses £14 and 3 courses £19. Full menu online and I'll bring a copy to our next rides. Book early to avoid disappointment. You can contact me through the email link in my name below if you have any questions. Peter

A shorter ride before we sit down for our Christmas lunch at the Quantock Restaurant at 12.30. The usual 9.30 start and then out through Corkscrew Lane, Nailsbourne, Fitzroy to Norton Fitzwarren Community Hall for coffee. It's only a short ride back then via Great Western Way and Silk Mills Road to the College for lunch. No rides confirmed yet for the following weeks so have a think about where we should go and if you would like to lead a ride. For those not cycling I look forward to seeing you at the lunch. Any problems and you can email me through the link in my name below. Peter

Old Smokey: This is a thirty mile round trip out through Creech St Michael, up Thirteen Bends (The only real hill on the ride, honest!), Stoke St Gregory, Langport, Muchelney, Drayton and on to the Smokery for a coffee stop. On return we head for Hambridge, Isle Brewers Fivehead, Curry Mallet, Rock Hill, North Curry and home. At the moment the weather looks a little unpromising so we'll make a decision on the day if we have to. All the usual advice about tubes, drinks and weather-proofing apply.  Ride Leader: Paul Harper
