Langport Pootle: this is a 25 mile round trip across the levels with a stop at the cafe by the river in Langport and back home in time for the afternoon. Fairly flat route and easy cycling with enough to keep it interesting. The weather forecast suggests a less than 10% chance of rain in the morning and temperatures of 9C - 13C.

Ad Hic Ride (Quantock Brewery ReLaunch)
Brewhouse Theatre & Arts Centre
17:30 – 19:30
Cancelled owing to yellow weather warning of heavy rain and thunderstorms.
This is an extra Ad Hoc ride to the relaunch event of the Quantock brewery at Bishops Lydeard. (It was bought by new owners hence the relaunch). The brewery is close to Bishops Lydeard station and produces a number of craft beers.
We've been told that the main evening event, with food, will start at 6:30 pm, so we're leaving Taunton at 5:30 pm. The plan is to ride there going out via Oake and Halse, and back through Bishops Lydeard village and via Cothelstone and Kingston St Mary.
The total distance is about 25 miles and there are some hills.
BRING LIGHTS - although it should be light enough to see the way coming back it is important to have lights to be seen by.
Although this event goes on until 11 pm we intend to leave by 9:30 at the latest - 9:00 more likely. Anyone wanting to stay longer will have to return independently.

A ride for those who DON'T want to watch that wedding!
Brewhouse Theatre & Arts Centre
10:00 – 14:00
This Saturday seems destined to be all set to be a TV watching day, with a royal wedding and the FA Cup final. How could the orgnisers of these have allowed them to clash with one of our club ride dates?
The wedding starts at midday, so if you want to watch that live you won't be coming! If you're content to watch the highlights (BBC2 6:30 to 8:00 pm) then come and join us instead.
The football progrmme on BBC1 starts at 3:20 pm (Kick off at 5:15 pm), so the ride will get back to Taunton in time for the 3:20 pm start of the TV programme.
The route will probably be out to Fivehead and, depending on time, a route will be chosen for the return.
Distance will again depend on time, but is unlikely to be more than 35 miles.
